Christmas Together
Support
A one-screen party game for a family round a table. The app picks the games, explains each one, runs the timers and keeps the evening moving.
How do we play?
One person holds the phone and reads it out. Everybody else talks, guesses, acts and argues. You pass the phone around when a game asks you to. Nobody needs their own device.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Once installed, the game works completely offline. There is nothing to sign in to and nothing to download while you play.
How many people, and what ages?
It works from about three people upwards and has no real upper limit. At setup you choose between adults with children or adults with teenagers, and that genuinely changes the riddles and conversation prompts rather than only the label.
Do we have to play in teams?
No. At setup you can choose two teams with light scoring, or everyone together with no scores at all. Every game works both ways. In the cooperative version, Charades becomes one volunteer acting while everyone else guesses, and Showdown becomes a challenge the whole table tackles against the clock.
Can we stop partway through?
Yes. Every game finishes cleanly, and you can end the evening after any of them. If you close the app, it offers to put you back where you stopped.
What is Gift Shuffle?
An optional ending for an evening where everyone has brought a wrapped present. The app rolls a die and calls out how the gifts move around the table. You need one wrapped gift per person to play it.
Something is wrong, or a prompt does not suit us
Every prompt can be skipped, and so can a whole game. If something feels wrong for your family, please tell me, because that is the most useful thing anyone can send me.
